It's not clear whether this consumer version of The Wall professional will be modular. Han did say that it will be thinner than the current version at only 30 mm thick (the Wall Professional is 80 mm thick). This is still quite thick compared to current OLED TVs.
n-Tech sees a very bright future for Micro-LED displays, starting in 2019
n-tech Research says that the Micro-LED market will emerge in 2019, with sales reaching $2.7 billion. The market will grow very quickly to reach over $70 billion in 2027.
n-Tech says that the immediate markets for Micro-LED displays will be near-eye displays (AR/VR), automotive HUDs and projectors - as these will benefit mostly from the small size, low weight, high brightness and high resolution of Micro-LED displays. Wearables (smartwatches) is another lucrative market (n-Tech sees $1.6 billion in smartwatch Micro-LED display sales in 2022).
Samsung officially launches its The Wall Professional Micro-LED TV, starts to accept pre-orders in the US
In January 2018 Samsung unveiled its first Micro-LED TV, the 146-inch modular Wall, and later the company said it will start shipping it in August 2018. Yesterday Samsung officially launched "The Wall Professional" in a tradeshow in the US, and it is now accepting pre-orders, aiming to find customers in lobbies, museums, galleries, and retail spaces.
Samsung did not reveal the price of its new TV - but maybe that's because it is a modular premium commercial display - so each order will be handled differently. It is estimated that the price of the 146" model will be at least $100,000. The Wall Professional features HDR 10+ and its brightness is up to 1,600 nits.

Samsung's Visual Display Business VP, Han Jong-hee, also revealed that the company has an R&D project that aims to use quantum-dots in Micro-LED arrays. The basic idea is to convert blue micro-LEDs to white light, which will enable easier production processes as the whole TV will use a single LED color.

Samsung to start shipping the Wall module Micro-LED TV in August 2018
Samsung Electronics says it will push forward with its two-track strategy for the premium TV market - utilizing both quantum-dots enhanced LCDs (QLEDs) and Micro-LED TVs. Samsung Visual Display Business VP, Han Jong-hee, says that Samsung will start selling its Wall Micro-LED TV in August 2018.

Samsung has plans to offer its Micro-LED TV (The Wall) in modular sizes
Earlier this week Samsung unveiled its MicroLED TV, called The Wall. This is a modular display that is completely seamless. At CES Samsung unveiled a 146" 4K display, butt the company will offer it in customized sizes.
Samsung says that this is the world's first Modular TV. While modular displays are not new (Mitsubishi for example has a beautiful modular PMOLED display called Diamond Vision OLED) it seems that Samsung aims for this to be the world's first modular consumer display. It's not clear whether customers will be able to change the design.
LG Display: we are also developing large MicroLED TVs, but there are many challenges ahead
Following Samsung's unveiling of its 146" Micro-LED TV prototype, LG Display's CEO said that LGD is also developing Micro-LED technologies for large >150" panels.
LG Display sees several technical challenges ahead before it could launch such a display commercially - and it also has concerns regarding the production costs of huge MicroLED TVs. In the meantime the company is focused on its OLED TV technologies.
Here is Samsung's 146" Micro-LED TV, "The Wall"
As reported a couple of months ago, Samsung unveiled its first Micro-LED TV, aptly named "The Wall". This is a 146-inch tiled 4K display that is almost 8 times larger than a 55" TV in area.
Samsung did not reveal much details. Reports from CES suggest that each tile is about 3-inch in size, and it seems like you cannot see the seams of the individual tiles. It did demonstrate the difference in size between Micro-LED and regular LEDs as you can see below:
Samsung said to launch a 150-inch Micro-LED TV at CES 2018
According to reports from Korea, Samsung is developing large-area micro-LED TVs, and the company is set to reveal its first Micro-LED TV as soon as CES 2018 (January 2018).
Samsung's first TV, according to the report, will be a huge 150-inch set, which will be marketed for home use. Samsung is looking for a new premium TV technology as Samsung's QLED TVs failed to keep up with LGD's OLED TVs, and has seen its premium TV market share fall from 57% in 2015 to 20% in 2016 (LG, meanwhile, managed to increase its market share from 17.5% in 2015 to 43% in 2016).
